Yellow Fields, pastel, 8″ x 10″, private collector

This was created en plein air (outside) on a breezy summer day in Kansas. My husband and I were driving and I spotted this field covered in yellow flowers.

He kindly found a safe spot along the road for me to set up my gear and then he headed off to hit a bucket of golf balls at the driving range hidden behind those trees.

A good compromise for us – and a lovely remembrance of the afternoon.
